In order to make these needed upgrades, the Main Street Confectionery and The Chapeau needed to temporarily shut down. We’re excited to see all the new interactive features to customize your sweet treats and also the expanded layout. The Disney Parks Blog says the Main Street Confectionery will “receive a fresh new look, expanded layout with more room to shop and interactive opportunities to customize your confections like never before.”

This re-imagineering of the shop will give it more floor space for guests and we are definitely intrigued by the customization options. The Main Street Confectionery is one of the most popular spots in the park for anyone with a sweet tooth. That means it will be open in time for the start of the Disney World 50th Anniversary in October.

The work is almost complete and Disney has just announced that the Main Street Confectionery is reopening on September 29, 2021.

The Main Street Confectionery refurbishment started on March 29, 2021. Earlier this year, Disney announced that the Main Street Confectionery and The Chapeau in Disney’s Magic Kingdom are getting a big refurbishment ahead of The Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary celebration.
